Is the risk of pregnancy high if unprotected intercourse occurred on day 24 of the cycle?
Good morning. On the 24th day of the cycle, unprotected intercourse took place. After a few hours, I accepted the escapelle. The last few cycles are 26 days. After taking eCapelle on the 28th day of the cycle, the period still did not appear. I will add that before taking the pill I did a pregnancy test, which was negative and the previous intercourse took place 3 weeks earlier. Is the risk of pregnancy high in such a situation?

It seems that the risk of pregnancy is rather small. According to Escapelle, after use, menstrual bleeding is usually normal and starts on the same day as usual, but sometimes it can occur a few days later or earlier. If you have menstruated regularly, the 24th day of your cycle was probably not fertile, but since such calculations are always at risk of error, Escapelle can be taken on any day of the cycle. The absence of bleeding should prompt you to re-perform the pregnancy test about 14 days after intercourse. The medicine dossier further recommends that "approximately three weeks after using the medicine, the patient should visit a doctor to make sure that the medicine has worked. If menstrual bleeding is delayed for more than 5 days or there is abnormally scanty or heavy bleeding, the patient should contact a doctor as soon as possible."
