Can Xanax used on an ad hoc basis be discontinued overnight?
Hello This week I took Xanax 4 days in a row a dose of 0.5mg per evening. Last week I felt better and I did not take xanax while 2 weeks I took Xanax 0.5mg 3 days in a row. My question is whether I have to somehow gradually discontinue Xanax as I used it as I wrote above or can I put it with her for a day? Thank you in advance for your help

If Xanax is used on an emergency basis in small doses, as described in the question, the medicine may be discontinued 'overnight', omitting the period of gradual dose reduction.
