Do MST Continus and Vendal contain the same amount of morphine?
Good morning. I take the drug MST CONTINUS (i.e. morphine sulfate), because of the deficiencies I started to take vendal (hydrochloride) with the drug at a dose of 200mg in parentheses is written 200mg of morphine hydrochloride, which corresponds to 152mg of morphine. Does this mean that I have to take more than mst 200mg vendal 200? Is there any information in the drug mst continus 200mg that 200mg of sulfate contains, for example, a number of mg of morphine? No modification of the dosage of Vendal is necessary. MST Continus 200 contains 200 mg morphine sulphate in 1 dose equivalent to 150 mg pure morphine. Both of these drugs therefore have a very similar morphine content (a difference of 2 mg) and are in the form of prolonged-release tablets.
