When is Lozap entitled to a discount?

Lozap is entitled with a discount (refund) in all registered indications as at the date of the decision, i.e.: - Treatment of primary hypertension in adults and in children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years. - Treatment of kidney disease in adult patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus with proteinuria ≥ 0.5 g/day as a component of antihypertensive therapy. - Treatment of chronic heart failure in adult patients when treatment with angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors does not appear appropriate due to incompatibilities, especially cough, or contraindications. In patients with heart failure whose condition has been stabilized with an ACE inhibitor, treatment with losartan should not be switched to. The ejection fraction of the left ventricle of the heart in patients should be ≤ 40%, and their condition should be clinically stable and on an established treatment regimen for chronic heart failure. - To reduce the risk of stroke in adult patients with hypertension and ECG-confirmed left ventricular hypertrophy (see section 5.1 LIFE Study, Race). Off-label indications covered by reimbursement: arterial hypertension other than those specified in the SmPC - in children up to 18 years of age; chronic kidney disease other than that specified in the SmPC - in children up to 18 years of age; renoprotective treatment in cases other than those specified in the SmPC - in children up to 18 years of age
