No, mistakenly taking two birth control pills on the same day does not impair efficacy. It can increase the risk of side effects, especially since the situation has repeated itself twice in a row. You may experience, for example, spotting or bleeding, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting. The use of tablets should be continued and protection will be preserved.
