Numerous drugs can change and modulate the course of glaucoma, which is why it is so important to monitor the medicinal substances that a patient with suspected glaucoma is taking. Some antidepressants, in this case Pragiola and Sympramol, can dilate the pupils, thereby narrowing the angle of filtration and causing an increase in pressure inside the eyeball. However, please do not stop taking medication on your own, and consult an ophthalmologist who suspects glaucoma. In the future, I encourage you to inform the attending physician about all the medicines and dietary supplements used, which will allow you to choose a safe and effective pharmacotherapy. It is best to write them all down on a piece of paper that you will show to your doctor during the visit.
