The usual recommended dose is 800 mg, i.e. 2 capsules as one dose per day for at least three months. According to the manufacturer, such a dose is also safe for the elderly. It also does not interact with Xarelto in a clinically relevant way - these medicines can be combined with each other and can be used for heart failure.
