I should use Metronidazole gel 10 mg/g for a small lesion on the face (avg.3 mm) for several weeks. In the leaflet I read that you can not consume alcohol while using this medicine. Even if I lubricate this small area with gel, can't I occasionally drink a glass of wine?

The interaction of alcohol with metronidazole administered topically to a small area of the skin is unlikely, since its absorption after application to the skin is small. In this case, I do not see any contraindications to drinking, e.g. a glass of wine, during such a treatment. The prohibition of alcohol consumption primarily applies to metronidazole administered orally, since with such a combination in a small number of patients the disulfiram reaction - acute alcohol intolerance - was observed.
