Can I give my child Ebilfumin if the treatment is completed 5 days before the procedure to remove the third almond?

Hello, can I give the drug to my son (5 years) before the procedure to remove the third tonsil? Won't the anesthesiologist rule him out before I tried? The doctor prescribed us 1 tbl per day. He will finish taking it 5 days before the planned procedure.

You did not give the name of the medicine in the question. If your question concerns ebilfumin, which is tagged in the tags, please read on. Ebilfumin is an antiviral preparation used to treat and prevent influenza virus infection. The use of the drug itself is not a contraindication to perform the procedure to remove the third almond, especially since the treatment is to be completed 5 days before the planned intervention. However, Ebilfumin may rarely cause thrombocytopenia, which may be a contraindication to the procedure. Failure to use the preparation may cause infection (e.g. with high fever), which is an absolute contraindication to the procedure. The decision on whether to postpone the date of removal of the third almond should be made after consultation with the attending physician: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/26048/ebilfumin-kapsulki/apteki I encourage you to read the additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-warto-usunac-migdalki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-szybko-wyleczyc-grype
