Does Zoely affect the condition of my skin?

Hi I have 52 I'm on the 2nd package of Zoely my complexion is getting worse day by day is it the fault of the pills? I have not had a skin problem before. Should you wait or quickly go to your gynecologist, who is still on vacation until July 20 or seek help from another?

The symptoms described may be the result of the use of Zoely contraceptive pills. According to the manufacturer's information, acne is an side effect that occurs very often, i.e. once in ten women using this medicine. Zoely is a tablet containing estradiol and nomegestrol acetate. The second of these substances has some antiandrogenic effect, and this should even lead to an improvement in the condition of the skin (including relieving acne) and additionally increase the level of HDL fraction, i.e. the so-called "good cholesterol". Taking into account the above comments, I suggest using the drug for a period of 3-4 months and if after this time you do not notice an improvement in the condition of the skin, I recommend contacting the attending physician. If you do not use antiepileptic or anticoagulant drugs, I would like to draw attention to the possibility of using evening primrose preparations, which m.in. positively affects the condition of the skin.
