I use metocard. I read that it can cause water retention in the body and cause swelling. Is this really the case? Second question. Can it damage the kidneys?

In the light of the latest knowledge, Metocard does not cause water retention in the body and swelling. However, its doses should be adjusted to the current state of renal function. In such cases, it is recommended to use the lowest possible starting dose and gradually introduce the drug. Swelling, especially in the ankle area, and shortness of breath may indicate decompensated heart failure. This is an contraindication to the use of Metocard. If you have observed such symptoms, I encourage you to consult your doctor, who will adjust the treatment according to your current clinical condition.
