Is it normal for my blood pressure to rise when I take Provera?

Hello. I am taking Provera 2x5mg for endometrial hyperplasia. I am being treated for hypertension. I noticed an increase in blood pressure despite taking medication. Could that be the case? Should I see a doctor to change my hypertension medication?

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, no significant interactions have been documented with the concomitant use of hypertensive medicines and Provera. However, sources say that the use of Provera may lead to increased fluid retention in the body, which may result in increased blood pressure. Due to the reduction of blood pressure control, it would be recommended to see a general practitioner or cardiologist to modify the patient's therapy.
