Hello, is it possible that the drug Escitalopram Actavis 10 mg caused or aggravated pneumonia?I started using this drug the first week half a tablet and after a week the whole and I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia. Could the drug have had an effect on the development of the disease?

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, immune system disorders are not reported as side effects of Escitalopram Actavis: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/27586/escitalopram-actavis-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka/192067 Adverse reactions occur more frequently during the first or second week of treatment and usually decrease in intensity and frequency as treatment continues. Escitalopram Actavis therefore had no effect on the development of pneumonia.
