What can be used in a child for a stuffy nose if he is already taking Contrahist and Metmin?

Welcome. The son is 5 years old. He is allergic. Already since March he has been taking contrahist syrup and the steroid metmin. For more than 10 days he has been gesturing a transparent runny nose all the time. At night, the cleanser with a humidifier is turned on all the time. He complains in the evening that his nose is clogging. Should I change his medication to any other?

Yes, only these droplets can be used for no more than 5 days. He doesn't want him to become addicted to them either. I try to avoid them. I'm only using a really strong respiratory tract infection...

For treatment with Contrahist and Metmin, you can include, for example, a spray with oxymetazoline, m.in. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/51620/nasivin-kids-aerozol/apteki?pvid=140591#internetowe This substance causes narrowing of blood vessels and relieves inflammation by reducing congestion, exudate and swelling of the mucous membrane of the nose and throat. It improves the drainage of the lateral sinuses of the nose and facilitates nasal breathing. The drug can be used, for example, after 30 minutes from Metmin or just before bedtime.
