What should I do if I want to start using vaginal discs, but I don't know if it's my first day of menstruation?

The first time I use contraceptive discs and I put it in as spotting occurred and the period was still gone. After a few hours I pulled it out because I was scared that I put it in too quickly Should I wait until menstruation comes and just put it in? Did the fact that I put it in earlier and pull it out weaken its effectiveness? I do not know what to do and thank you in advance for your answer

" I put it on as spotting occurred and the period was still gone. After a few hours I pulled it out because I was scared that I put it in too quickly" - from this I conclude that the disc has already been used once. Nevertheless, if you have even inserted a new disc on any day of the cycle, the protection may be reduced and it is worth using additional protection.

It was not taken out of the package. So even if it was not menstruation, but only uplaty and I put this disc to protect yourself additionally until the next disc?

If you have doubts whether the day you placed the disc in the vagina was the first day of the cycle - you should consult your gynecologist. You can also apply the disc now - even if you are not sure which day of the cycle it is. However, it should be remembered that protection will be reduced and an additional form of contraception in the form of a condom should be used for the first 7 days of wearing the disc. If you have stored the disc in an open package for more than 3 hours, its effectiveness may be reduced. A new disc must be applied.
