Could the increase in pressure be the result of a sudden withdrawal of hydrochlorothiazide?

Prescribed ZofenilPlus for mild hypertension , I degree - due to side effects ( vision disorder , increase in uric acid, etc . ) it was recommended to discontinue the two-component drug - prescribed zophenil30 , without a diuretic component. I followed the recommendation. I noticed an increase in pressure during control measurements. Could this be the result of a sudden withdrawal of hydrochlorothiazide found in ZofeniluPlus?

Therapy with a two-component drug is more "intense" and will lead to a deeper decrease in blood pressure than therapy with just a single drug. So it is understandable that discontinuation of one of the drugs that lower the pressure will cause an increase in this parameter. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that works by increasing the amount of urine produced. In this mechanism, the action is not so much about causing the effect of diuresis, but about reducing the amount of fluid in the blood vessels, and thus - a decrease in pressure. In the current situation, it is worth consulting the measurements with a doctor. Despite the fact that they are higher than before, it may turn out that for your age group and cardiovascular risk category they are still acceptable.
