Yes, the drug can be used by the son. According to the Summary of Product Characteristics - If indicated, Depakine Chrono prolonged-release film-coated tablets may be used in children weighing more than 17 kg, provided that the tablet can be swallowed. This form of the product is not suitable for children under 6 years of age (choking risk).
