Good morning, I used ginoring discs so far, but the gynecologist prescribed me Evra patches. On Monday I took out the puck, and today I got my period. When should I apply the patch? Thanks in advance for your reply.

For @Awaa: Yes, you are protected 7 days after the patch has been glued. There are no other consequences. In the event that no more than 7 days pass between removing the disc and sticking the first patch - protection is preserved after 7 days of wearing the patch. So with the 2nd patch you are already protected. If it is more than 7 days after taking the last active oral contraceptive tablet, a woman may experience ovulation and should therefore be advised to see a doctor before taking EVRA. If sexual intercourse occurs during a prolonged break of more than 7 days from the use of the oral contraceptive pill, the possibility of becoming pregnant should be considered.
Good morning, in the case of sticking the patch a week after removing the disc, is ginoring (i.e. on the day when the next disc should be inserted) associated only with the lack of protection for the first week or maybe longer? Are there any other consequences of applying the patch only after 7 days after removing the disc?

The first patch should be glued on the first day of withdrawal bleeding (that is, on the first day of bleeding that occurred after removing the disc) - then protection will be preserved. Applying the first patch a day or two later requires an additional form of contraception in the form of a condom for the first 7 days of wearing the patch.
