Witam.Mam 35 years old, I take metronidazole on helicobacter pyroli and I began to feel a strange pressure in the lower abdomen like a push on the bladder, but without pain and without the need for frequent urination and this place is as if hard and bulging. I will add that I have pains with the spine after childbirth, and at the moment I have pain in the lumbar region and I am before menstruation. Please tell me if it is from metronidazole or if it can be something else.

The symptoms described by you are not among the common side effects observed during treatment with metronidazole. Of course, it cannot be ruled out that they are related to the drug used, but the causes of the symptoms can be many. In the event that the pressure is accompanied by other symptoms, such as hardness or bulging of the abdominal integuments, they must not be underestimated. In order to determine the cause of the ailment, please first go to the family doctor, who will examine you, and if necessary, will refer you for additional tests or issue a referral to a specialist.
