If your doctor deems it necessary, you may recommend that you extend your antibiotic by giving the same antibiotic twice in a row, or resume treatment with the same antibiotic after a break. In such a situation, remember to use a probiotic. When taking an antibiotic to prevent diarrhea, it is recommended to use mono-strain probiotics containing the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii (eg Enterol) or Lactobacillus GG bacteria (eg Dicoflor). After completing the treatment, it is worth including a multi-strain probiotic, e.g. Multilac, which will help enrich the intestinal bacterial flora (for at least 2-3 weeks). Below I attach links to pages where you can compare the prices of these probiotics in online pharmacies and place an order with home delivery or collection at the pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/27293/enterol-250-kapsulki/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/107701/dicoflor-6-kapsulki/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/50697/multilac-synbiotyk-kapsulki/apteki I also encourage you to read our articles: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/probiotyki-czy-warto-stosowac-leki-oslonowe https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/fakty-i-mity-o-antybiotykach https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/antybiotyki

Yes, if necessary, you can prolong taking the antibiotic twice by taking the same antibiotic in a row. There are also no contraindications to resume treatment with the same antibiotic after a break, e.g. when symptoms of infection occur again.
