According to the Safety Data Sheet, Sumamed will be effective against Staphylococcal bacteria if they are sensitive to methicillin or penicillin. To be absolutely sure that in this case we are dealing with such a strain, you should perform an antibioticogram, which may be ordered by the attending physician.
