The age of the patient over 35 years of age is one of the factors that increases the risk of heart attack or stroke resulting from taking hormones (in particular, estrogen in two-component tablets such as Leverette). It should be noted, however, that the basic risk is very small, and the "increase" does not mean that a patient over 35 years old will certainly suffer such complications. There are many factors that increase the risk of blood clots in the arteries, and age is only one of them. If the doctor during the collection of the interview about your case did not note other circumstances (e.g. smoking, overweight), he could assess that in your case the benefits outweigh the possible risks. Leverette tablets will work in such a way that there will no longer be a physiological cycle, but days with active tablets (hormones) and 7 days of using white placebo tablets (placebo period - without hormones), when there should be bleeding to replace menstruation, i.e. the so-called withdrawal bleeding. Bleeding will therefore have a very predictable profile.
