Since 1998 after gynecological surgery / cancer / I took hormones . Because I'm already 70 years old, I stopped taking hormones (slices) for about 1 year. I have a problem with strong hair loss. What to do? Go back to estrogen?

Come back, if you have been taking hormones for so many years and nothing has happened, it is probably better to use their benefits than to worry in advance, because what I will not live to 80 or 90. As for local treatment, it only comes into play Loxon, so the dermatologist does not have much to show off, but the preparation, although effective, also has its side effects, is on alcohol, so it dries the scalp and hair. Care is good as there will be nothing to cultivate.

Hair thinning is a natural consequence of a decrease in the amount of hormones after menopause. Hormone replacement therapy stops them from falling out because it provides the missing hormones. Due to the health risks, however, this is not a method that can be used without restrictions. It is difficult for me to answer whether a gynecologist would be in favor of mrs. HRT continuing.
