When using sertaline, a possible side effect (statistically it will appear in 1 in 10 patients) is "irregular menstruation". It can be assumed that such a side effect could manifest itself in a delay in the period. Since it is not very common, gynecological causes and pregnancy (if you are sexually active) should be excluded in the first place.
