According to the recommendations presented in the medical literature, Hyplafin (finasteride) is one of the standard drugs used in the treatment of BPH. Clinical studies show a rapid decrease in the volume of the prostate gland. After 3 months, the volume of the prostate gland decreases by about 20% and this process progresses reaching about 27% after 3 years: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/36960/hyplafin-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka/123976 Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), otherwise known as benign prostatic hyperplasia, is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate, that is, the small gland surrounding the male urethra, producing fluid that is part of the semen. The most common symptoms of BPH are: frequenturia, the need to urinate at night, narrowing of the urine stream, frequent rapid urge to urinate and prolongation of the micturition time. The main objectives of pharmacological treatment are: 1) elimination or alleviation of lower urinary tract ailments and improvement of the quality of life, 2) inhibition of BPH progression and counteracting the occurrence of its adverse consequences, such as: urinary tract infection, bladder urolithiasis, acute urinary retention, development of bladder diverticula, impairment of upper urinary tract function or avoidance of surgical intervention.
