Should I use an antibiotic when Erdomed doesn't help?

Erdomed I take already 6 days for laryngitis and runny nose. Cough I still have a very painful, does not break off. Blows a thick discharge from the nose. I estimate that the drug does not work .2 years ago I went to the bronchi and then the doctor prescribed an antibiotic and after 2 days there was already a big improvement. Should I get an antibiotic right away so that it doesn't develop further.

If the use of mucolytic drugs such as Erdomed has not brought the expected results, and the symptoms of infection are getting worse, it is worth consulting a doctor again, you may need an antibiotic. However, it should be borne in mind that if it is a viral infection, the antibiotic may not be effective. It is worth, for example, to perform a CRP test, which will allow you to determine the cause of infection: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/96615/crp-screen-ultraczuly-test-crp-test/apteka-internetowa?pvid=241964 and a control test for COVID-19, which you will buy at the pharmacy without a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/testy-na-koronawirusa-sars-cov-2 I also attach links to helpful entries: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/fakty-i-mity-o-antybiotykach https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/69141/acc-co-stosowac-na-zalegajaca-w-gardle-flegme
