There is no such drug as "amzolek", I suppose you mean Amlozek. If so, please read on. High blood glucose (hyperglycaemia) is a very rare side effect that may affect more than 1 in 10,000 people. Statistically, therefore, it is very unlikely that amlodipine (the active ingredient in Amlozek) will cause an increase in blood glucose levels - the cause should be sought primarily elsewhere. Only after excluding other possible causes of elevated blood glucose levels can a side effect be considered.
