Could applying the Evra patch have shortened withdrawal bleeding after birth control pills?

Hello, I have a question I changed the form of contraception from pills to Evra patches. On the day of the withdrawal bleeding I glued the patch, after two days the bleeding got cold and I started to stain only slightly brown until the bleeding stopped. Is it normal that under the influence of hormones bleeding as if shortened? I don't know if that's the way it should be. Yours sincerely
