Can Pramolan be used for several days in a row?
Hello. Due to periodic problems with falling asleep, I was assigned by a psychiatrist Promolan, one tablet before bedtime. This was for ad hoc use. Recently, however, some problems have accumulated and I can not fall asleep for several days without pharmacological support. I am already scheduled for another visit to a psychiatrist for this purpose, but during this time pramolan applies all the time (5 days in a row) instead of periodic use, as it was assigned. Is it safe to take this medicine? That is, can I use it a few days in a row to temporarily eradicate insomnia? Won't it have negative consequences?

Może Pani stosować Pramolan codziennie. Co więcej, takie postępowanie jest nawet wskazane. Jak podaje producent:
"Efekt działania opipramolu nie pojawia się natychmiast, a zmiany nastroju postępują stopniowo, dlatego produkt leczniczy powinien być stosowany regularnie przez co najmniej 2 tygodnie. Zalecany średni czas leczenia wynosi od 1 do 2 miesięcy."
W Pana przypadku wizyta z lekarzem wydaje się zasadna - brak efektów terapii związany jest zapewne z niewłaściwym schematem dawkowania. Ponieważ jednak Pramolan to lek dostępny wyłącznie na receptę, o ewentualnym zwiększeniu dawki leku musi zdecydować lekarz.
