Jeśli krążek zostanie założony w pierwszym dniu miesiączki, to chroni od razu.
Jeśli między 2. a 5. dniem cyklu - działa po 7 dniach i do tego czasu należy dodatkowo zabezpieczać się prezerwatywą.
Jeśli później - skuteczność krążka jest pewna dopiero po zakończeniu całego 3-tygodniowego cyklu.
