How high is the risk of a blood clot if I have thyroid excision surgery and use Ginoring?
Hello, at the end of next week (30.04) I will have surgery to cut out the thyroid gland (cancer). However, from 16.04 I started using the contraceptive drug Ginoring. On the leaflet I read that the operation is a contraindication to the use of the puck, but I also found information that it is a procedure after which you are long immobilized, and the notch of the thyroid gland is not this type of procedure, however, I am a little afraid if I can definitely be operated on. Is there a high risk of developing a blood clot? Should I tell my doctor before the procedure that I am using this method of contraception? I will be very grateful for the answer. Best regards
