Wyniki oznaczeń beta hCG nie wskazują na ciążę stwierdzoną wcześniej podczas badania USG. O ile, domowe testy ciążowe na wczesnym etapie mogą dawać wynik fałszywie negatywny, o tyle w przypadku laboratoryjnego oznaczenia beta hCG, zwłaszcza wykonanego dwukrotnie, szansa na pomyłkę jest znikoma. Istnieje duże prawdopodobieństwo, że nie jest Pani w ciąży.

Rozbieżności w wynikach badania obrazowego i laboratoryjnego należy niezwłocznie wyjaśnić. Nie można w tej sytuacji wykluczyć poronienia.
