Zoloft oraz lek Metronidazol mogą być równocześnie stosowane w przypadku zalecenia ich przez jednego lekarza, lub jeżeli lekarz przepisując jeden z nich miał świadomość stosowania drugiego leku.

Zarówno Zoloft jak i Metronidazol wpływają na wydłużenie odstępu QT co może spowodować wystąpienie zmiany w EKG serca, a także wystąpienie zespołu torsade de pointes (wielokształtnego częstoskurczu komorowego):
