Can reducing the dose of Pregabalin cause side effects? How long will they last?

Good morning. After talking to my doctor, I reduced my dose of Pregablin from 100 to 50, once a day in the morning due to dizziness, drowsiness and fatigue. In the evening I did not take the second dose anymore. Since the morning I have even worse dizziness and problems with motor coordination, weakness, everything seems to me as if heavy. Is that normal? And how much will this condition persist? Could this be due to a dose reduction?

To @Emili: We do not have information about your condition, other medicines used or previous treatment and reactions to them, so we are not able to assess whether the dosage is appropriate. However, the attending physician certainly had access to this information and on this basis selected the most appropriate dosage of the drug in a given case. Lower doses of pregabalin are used, m.in, in people with impaired renal function.

Hello... For the first time I have been recommended Pregabalin 1x evening 50mg, is it not too small dose?

In addition, pregabalin has a long duration in the body... Approx. 3 weeks. So after one day certainly do not feel the effects ... Rather, it is your consciousness that works, that you put them away..

Dose reduction of 50mg Should not rather give withdrawal symptoms... because it is the smallest possible dose. I do not understand why you use the following term "weaning too quickly". A reduction of 50mg is ok. And you have to accept the effects :( I'm going through them too. I reduced the dose 2 weeks ago...

Umożliwia to sprawowanie kontroli nad lekami dostępnymi w obrocie.
