Is persistent spotting after putting on the Kyleen insole a cause for concern?
I had the Kyleen system set up 13 weeks after giving birth.5 days after putting it on, I got my period. Bleeding has been going on for 18 days. It is not very abundant, but larger than the usual spotting. The doctor told me to come for a check-up in 2-3 weeks. Is it normal that after putting the system on, bleeding lasts so long? Should I go for a check-up earlier?

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, the Kyleena system may affect the menstrual cycle. It can change menstruation in such a way that there will be spotting (scanty bleeding), irregular, shorter or longer menstruation, more or less intense bleeding or no bleeding at all. Bleeding or spotting may occur in the middle of the cycle, especially during the first 3 to 6 months of using the system. Sometimes bleeding is at first more abundant than usual. If your complaints cause you concern, it is worth contacting a gynecologist in advance. This can be done even by phone. The drug Kyleena is a T-shaped contraceptive therapeutic system that, when located in the uterine cavity, releases the hormone levonorgestrel. Good evening! I have had the Kylenee insert put on since May 2022. The only plus is increased libido. Since it was founded, I have been staining almost all the time. I don't know how my cycle is going. When there are days without spotting and I happen to have sex, the next day I bleed again. I'm tired of this situation and the constant uncertainty of when the spotting will happen again. I was at follow-up visits and the doctor first said that the spotting would pass after 3 months, then after half a year. At the visit in March I got hormones, because these spotting may be problems with coagulation. I did not notice the difference after taking 2 packages. I'm going for a consultation with another doctor. Although I wonder about it reading the comments about this insert. Maybe it's just a hoax /please forgive the comparison/, which makes it difficult for me to have sex
Witam. Też mam założoną wkładkę kyleena, od końca października, zakladałam pod koniec miesiączki, miałam kilka dni plamień, potem nie całe dwa tygodnie spokoju, 12 listopada wystąpiły brązowe plamienia a po tygodniu krwawienia mniejsze niż miesiączka, a większe niż plamienia,lekarz powiedział że to normalne, że wkładka musi się zaklimatyzowac, bo to ciało obce, że macica musi się z tym ciałem oswoić, ale mnie to też już zaczyna martwić, te krwawienia, poczekam jeszcze parę dni, jak nie ustąpią, to pójdę na wizytę do ginekologa.
