To @Marcin:

Usually, drugs such as Pylera start to work after a few days of use, but the full effects may not be visible until the therapy is complete. If you have persistent complaints such as pain in the esophagus, I encourage you to consult your doctor to assess the effectiveness of the treatment and possibly consider other therapeutic options.

How long it takes for the symptoms of H.pylori infection to disappear and whether one course of treatment with Pylera will be sufficient to end antibacterial therapy depends on a number of factors. Therefore, we are not able to answer this question unequivocally. If the symptoms persist after the end of the therapy, you should perform a control test for the presence of H. pylori bacteria in the stool, which you will buy at the pharmacy, about 1 month after the end of the treatment. If the treatment proves to be ineffective, it will be necessary to contact a doctor who may order, for example, another course of treatment with Pylera or a change in therapy (m.in with the use of amoxicillin and levofloxacin). As I mentioned, the success of eradication is influenced by many factors, and the drug may prove ineffective, e.g. if the bacterium turns out to be resistant to the action of a given antibiotic. To avoid this, before the next stage of treatment, an assessment of the sensitivity of isolated strains of H. pylori to antibiotics can be carried out, which will help us exclude antibiotics to which bacteria are resistant and increase the effectiveness of therapy. Sometimes it is also the case that the symptoms do not go away immediately, so if you are concerned and the symptoms a month after the end of treatment will persist or worsen, you should consult a doctor. We also write about the drugs used in the eradication of H.pylori here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/leki-na-helicobacter-pylori
