Strophantine is a substance obtained from the seeds, leaves and stems of the twister. This compound strengthens the heartbeat, lowers blood pressure, dilates coronary vessels, improves heart rhythm, preventing damage to heart cells. The only drug with strophantin - Strodival MR 3 mg tablets, which were prescribed to patients in Poland, are unavailable since 2012.
