Although numbness may have a neurological basis, in the case of the use of an anticoagulant drug such as rivaroxaban (Xarelto), it is necessary to rule out vascular or neurological complications that may endanger health.
Do not discontinue the drug on your own without a doctor's explicit recommendation, as this may sharply increase the risk of thromboembolic events. During the visit, you should carefully describe the frequency of these symptoms and inform about all other preparations taken. If the paresis worsens or you have difficulty moving, do not hesitate and go to the nearest Hospital Emergency Department.
