I have otitis media.
The doctor prescribed and I have been taking duracef 500 for 4 days now and I do not feel a significant improvement.
Is duracef really suitable for such an ailment?

Duracef is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacterial strains. This includes upper and lower respiratory tract infections, in particular pharyngitis and palatine tonsillitis caused by group A beta-haemolytic streptococcus, urinary tract infections caused by E. coli, P. mirabilis and Klebsiella spp., skin and soft tissue infections caused by staphylococci and/or streptococcus, myeloarthritis or bacterial arthritis.
It is a drug with a wide antibacterial effect and may also be recommended for another indication (such as otitis media) if the doctor has deemed it appropriate.
If you have been using the drug for 4 days and there is no noticeable improvement, you should consult your doctor again. If it is not possible to have a stationary consultation, you can also use a paid teleconsultation arranged e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
