Should I use Mucosolvan in the 19th week of pregnancy? How it is metabolized Mucosolvan?

Mucosolvan can only be used in women in the 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy if your doctor considers it appropriate. It is not recommended to use the drug in the 1st trimester of pregnancy.
In the 19th week of pregnancy, you should use the medicine as your doctor has told you. Reducing the dose of the drug may lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of the prescribed therapy.
According to the dossier, preclinical studies have shown no direct or indirect harmful effects on pregnancy, embryo/foetal development, parturition or postnatal development. In addition, based on extensive clinical experience in pregnant women after the 28th week of pregnancy, its harmful effect on the health of the fetus has not been demonstrated. However, the usual precautions should be taken when using this medicinal product in pregnant women, i.e. do not use the medicine without consulting a doctor.
The drug is metabolised in the liver and excreted by the kidneys.
