I understand your concern, but please remember that the so-called "shadow of a line" on a home test does not always mean pregnancy – it may be the result of pairing or the sensitivity of the test, especially if the doctor did not notice any changes during the test. The most reliable step in this situation is to perform a blood beta-HCG test, which is much more sensitive than urine tests.
This test can be performed as early as about 10-12 days after intercourse, and in your case – when your period is already late – the result will be fully reliable and conclusive. If the blood result is negative (less than 5 mIU/ml), it will mean that there is no pregnancy, and the delay in menstruation may then have another cause, e.g. stress or infection, which is worth discussing with the gynaecologist at the next visit.
In order to exclude/confirm pregnancy, you can take one of the pregnancy tests available in online pharmacies or stationary pregnancy tests. Ultrasensitive tests, detecting a pregnancy that is just a few days old, include, m.in:
