Hello, my question is about the Implanon contraceptive implant. In October this year, 2 years have passed since its establishment. Is it possible for nausea to appear after such a long time? I will only add that the first such symptom appeared approximately 3-4 months after the implant was placed and lasted for some time. The gynecologist says it's unlikely. And does body weight also matter (I weigh 54 kg). The pregnancy test came out negative. Thank you for your comprehensive answer.

Nausea and nausea are a rather non-specific symptom. Other causes of the ailment (indigestion, stomach problems or other gastrointestinal dysfunctions, stress, improper diet, viral infections) should be excluded in the first place. Theoretically, a contraceptive implant can cause gastrointestinal disorders. Recurrent ailments without a specific reason should be diagnosed by a doctor. It is worth doing blood tests (including - assessing the level of liver enzymes).
