Apo-Tamis (tamsulosin) is a drug mainly for men with benign prostatic hyperplasia, blocking alpha-1 receptors in the urinary tract, which improves urine outflow. In postmenopausal women, the doctor can use it off-label, based on his best knowledge and experience, and not on the basis of the manufacturer's indications, e.g. for urogenital atrophy or micturition disorders. It is also a common practice. We wrote more about it here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami
Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop treatment on your own and report any side effects to your doctor.
