There is no food or drink that will accelerate the action of Eliquis – apixaban is absorbed normally after oral administration, reaching its maximum concentration after about 3 hours, with no effect of food on the rate of absorption. You can take it with or without a meal, but the most important thing is to use it regularly at fixed times.
It is important to avoid strong CYP3A4 and P-gp inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole), which may increase drug levels and the risk of bleeding, and inducers (e.g. rifampicin, St. John's wort) that weaken its effect. Eliquis does not interact with vitamin K like warfarin, so the diet can be varied, but I recommend constant intake, avoiding alcohol, and consulting your doctor before supplements.
