Staloral is administered according to two steps: a dose escalation phase and a maintenance phase. In the initial phase, the number of pump strokes is gradually increased according to the leaflet or plan from the allergist, usually over about 10-14 days. Then you move on to the maintenance phase, where a fixed dose is used, usually 4-8 doses once a day or as prescribed by your doctor.

The exact number of doses and the rate of increase always depends on the formulation (e.g. 100 IR/300 IR solution) and the individual treatment plan, so it is best to stick to the regimen received from the allergist.
