Should I be afraid of the side effects of Xanirva (I have thrombosis)?
Hello, the examination revealed thrombosis of the lower limb. Xanirva tablets have been prescribed. However, after reading the leaflet, I am devastated by the side effects of already 1-10 people - the list is very long and terrible. I'm afraid to take the drug. Is it really so bad when using it?

The summary of product characteristics describes all possible adverse reactions that have ever been seen in patients taking Xanirva (even if it was one case in the entire study group). The most common side effects are related to excessive blood thinning. To prevent this, follow-up examinations should be performed during treatment. It is worth remembering that untreated thrombotic problems are the most common cause of stroke, heart attack and peripheral embolism. In this situation, the benefit of starting the treatment is greater than the potential risk of side effects.
