Anticol (disulfiram) rarely directly raises blood pressure, but it can cause body stress, headache or anxiety, resulting in a temporary increase in blood pressure in some patients.
The greatest risk occurs after alcohol consumption – then a violent disulfiram reaction can occur, which can increase the pressure or, on the contrary, rapidly lower it. If you notice increased blood pressure after starting therapy, it is worth consulting your doctor and checking other possible causes and interactions with other medications used.
