Since food does not affect the effect of the medicine, you can give the medicine together with a small amount of a fruit drink, such as apple juice. It is important that it is not a hot or carbonated drink and that the medicine is mixed with the drink just before administration, e.g. in a glass for administration of the medicine or on a spoon.
