Switching from Tritace (ramipril) to Revival (medoxomil olmesartate) should only be supervised by a doctor who will assess the need and how to switch to a new product.
It is usually not recommended to stop therapy on your own, as both drugs have a similar mechanism of action, and a sudden break can lead to destabilization of blood pressure. A break in antihypertensive medication is rarely recommended – usually the dose of a new drug is introduced in such a way as to maintain the continuity of treatment and avoid the risk of complications.
