Red patches on the skin can have a variety of causes, including allergic reactions, which are described as possible, though uncommon, side effects of Vinpocetine (Vinpocetine). Petechiae, or red spots caused by ruptured capillaries, can also appear for various reasons, such as injuries, increased pressure in the vessels or skin reactions. If the spots are petechiae, they do not fade under pressure and do not itch, which distinguishes them from a typical allergic rash.
If new skin lesions appear while using the drug, especially if they are petechiae or swollen spots, I recommend that you consult your doctor as soon as possible to assess whether it is not a reaction to the drug or a symptom of a more serious problem. In the meantime, you should not stop the treatment yourself without consultation, but you can consider using antihistamines and creams, e.g.
